Please note that this is a walking tour, where neighborhoods are explored on foot and by public transport. The visit to 10,000 Buddhas will also involve a steep climb of more than 400 steps. As such, if you have any mobility issue, this tour is not suitable for you. Public transportation costs are excluded in the tour price.

Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery (Man Fat Sze)
Right at the start of the 4-hour walking tour, let's visit the magnificent Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery, where you'll be greeted by not just one, but at least 12,800 unique Buddha statues! This off-the-beaten-path monastery is the brainchild of venerable Reverend Yuet Kai, whom even at old age, carried building materials uphill personally by hand!

Thereafter, take a short ride on Hong Kong's most efficient transportation system, the MTR, and head to Tai Po Market. You'll have the chance to sample a special local snack and more importantly, witness how such a food market keeps the community spirit alive. Meanwhile, we will also explore Tai Po neighbourhood, where you'll hear about various initiatives undertaken by residents to promote a greener environment.

Tai Po Man Mo Temple
Last but not least, we delve deep into Tai Po's heritage by sharing fascinating stories of the Tang and Man clans at Man Mo Temple and Kwong Fuk Bridge. By the end of the tour, you will have an in-depth understanding of how unity and loyalty played a big part in Hong Kong history! The tour ends at 2pm, at Tai Wo MTR Station.
